WIPO Global Awards 2026

The World Intellectual Property Organisation (WIPO) will once again be honouring outstanding small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and innovative start-ups that make strategic and effective use of intellectual property (patents, trademarks, designs) at the WIPO Global Awards 2026.

The focus is on visionary companies whose innovations not only achieve economic success but also make a sustainable and positive contribution to society – in line with the UN Sustainable Development Goals. 

The awards cover various categories for different industries (e.g. health, environment, ICT, creative industries, agrifood).
The international competition is open to applicants from all 193 member states of WIPO.
