Search and Examination Report according to Section 57 B Patent Law

This service is particularly suited for independent searches on the state of the art and/or examination reports regarding the validity of existing legal protection rights on the question of wheter a patentable invention exists in accordance with sections 1 to 3 Patent Law. It is possible to apply for either a Search Report, an Examination Report or both.

The Search Report, respectively Examination Report according to Section 57 b Patent Law can be set to any day. 

Please Note:  For "new" inventions the Search Report - in conjunction with an Examination Report or not - according to Section 57 a is still available. 

THE DOCUMENTS WE NEED:

• A precise and detailed description
• Should am Examination Report be requested: claims in connection with the concrete technical problem
• Technical drawings if necessary
• The state of the art already known if necessary

COSTS:

Depending on scope, from 1.440 euros up.

In order to obtain a refund up to 75% of the costs for a Search Report with or without an Examination Report avail yoursellf of voucher no. 3 of the EUIPO's support.  

PROCEDURE:

After submittal of your application you will receive from us a tailor-made offer that you can accept by payment of the fee. Our work begins upon receipt of payment. The average processing time is approximately 8 weeks.

In exceptional cases such as stuff shortages or unfeasible target dates we might not be able to submit an offer and will inform you of this.

After individual agreement with the responsive examiner, completion in English is also possible.
