This concerns in particular:
Failure to provide an e-mail address will result in so-called "irregularity" notices. "Irregularity" notices from the International Bureau, which must be responded to within 3 months. If there is no reaction, the request in question is considered withdrawn or the appointment of a representative is not considered as such.
The International Bureau of WIPO will send all communications concerning the international registration to the e-mail address indicated and recorded in the International Register. Only in the event that such electronic communication fails, subsequent service by mail is provided for.
Owners of international trademarks and their representatives who have not yet provided an e-mail address to the International Bureauare advised to do so by clicking on the link https://www3.wipo.int/contact/en/madrid.
