Online Filing Patent is our digital platform for filing patent, utility model and supplementary protection certificate applications. It also lets you manage all related submissions in one place – simply by logging in with ID Austria, Austria's national digital identity.
Since Online Filing Patent was launched last year, we have received a wealth of suggestions. Four of the most frequently requested features are now available, making work easier above all for those who work in teams and handle patent applications on a regular basis.
Brand new: the address book
Do you find yourself entering the same names and addresses over and over? That is no longer necessary: an address book in Online Filing lets you manage this data centrally and fill it into forms via autofill. Your contacts are also available to others in your organization. You can reach the address book directly via a new icon in the navigation bar.
Working faster and more efficiently
Subsequent submissions have become quicker, too: description, claims, abstract, and figures can now be uploaded together in a single operation. One upload replaces several individual ones.
We have also made it possible to sign and send documents in a single step, provided you hold both authorizations. Both tasks can now be completed together with one click. Furthermore, the application PDF now comes in a considerably slimmer design, which saves paper when printing.
As before, this upgrade to our Online Filing platform was implemented in close cooperation with the European Patent Office (EPO) and thoroughly tested before going live.
